April is Autism Awareness Month! Scrub Hub wants to celebrate our Special Patient Population with a lecture from our very on Dr. Jonina Capino!

Dr. Capino graduated from UCLA School of Dentistry in 2022 and completed a General Practice Residency at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. Now, she is an associate dentist with a mobile dental clinic that provides dental care to those who are non-ambulatory, disabled or geriatric in assisted living facilities and private homes.

Dr. Capino will be providing a presentation informing dental providers basic information they should be made aware of when working with the disabled population. This is a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with treating patients that are neurodiverse and have physical limitations

“I’ll be teaching about social language, and certain characteristics we should be wary about when working with the disabled population. I’ll be briefly discussing about autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and mental health”
