KIPP SoCal Back-to-School Resource Fair
Join Scrub Hub as we serve KIPP SoCal Schools in their Annual Back-to-School Resource Fair!
Volunteers will be providing oral screenings, distributing free supplies, applying fluoride varnish, and teaching families proper hygiene and preventative techniques.

A Child's Dream 2024
It’s that time of year again! Join Scrub Hub for the Annual Backpack Giveaway with A Child’s Dream.
Volunteers will be distributing supplies and teaching oral hygiene and preventative techniques to families!

Fulfillment Fund Introduction to the Dental Field (online)
Join Scrub Hub as we partner with Fulfillment Fund to introduce current college students to the wonderful field of dentistry! This is an online event taking place on July 18, 2024 at 5 pm PST. Please register for the event through the Fulfillment Fund.
Dr. Edith Mitchell Community Health Fair
Edith Mitchell Community Health Fair
Scrub Hub joined UCLA Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science at the first Dr. Edith Mitchell Community Health Fair. Volunteers provided oral screenings and fluoride varnish, performing oral hygiene instructions, and distributed free oral hygiene supplies. Other health services and information were provided for free at the health fair.

Who was Dr. Edith Mitchell?
She was a “woman before her time” and a “monumental contributor” to cancer and gastrointestinal research and treatment by colleagues. Dr. Mitchell was also a trailblazing champion for minority health care providers and medically underserved communities in the United States. She evaluated hundreds of new drugs and treatment procedures over her 50-year career in medicine, was a mentor to many, and, closest to her heart, dug deep to understand how disadvantaged patients could be better served.

Compton Farmer's Market
Scrub Hub was at the Compton Farmers Market on Saturday, April 6, 2024!
Volunteers distributed oral hygiene supplies, performed oral hygiene instructions, educated the community, and provided free oral screenings.

Accommodating Disabilities with Dr. Capino
Dr. Capino will be speaking about social language, and certain characteristics we should be wary about when working with the disabled patient populations.
Unity Fest!
Scrub Hub and UCLA’s Student National Dental Association are joining Unity Fest at Environmental Charter Middle School.
Volunteers will be distributing free oral hygiene supplies, performing free oral screenings, and performing OHI.
The event will be taking place at Environmental Charter Middle School – Gardena.
2818 Manhattan Beach Boulevard, Gardena California.
Volunteers will show up to the event at 4 pm and the event will begin at 5.

Veterans Black History Month Celebration!
Scrub Hub will be honoring Montford Point Marines at this veteran appreciation event by providing free screenings, distributing free dental hygiene supplies, and performing oral hygiene instructions!
Holiday Outreach
Join us Saturday, December 16th for the Annual Holiday Outreach!
Scrub Hub will be partnering with A Child’s Dream in order to provide some holiday cheer! We will be distributing oral hygiene supplies to families in need and educating them on at home care.
Volunteers should arrive at 9:30 AM for set up. We will be at the Culver City Teens Center (Veterans Memorial Park 4153 Overland Avenue Culver City, CA 90230).

Thanksgiving Give Back
Join Scrub Hub and Greater Faith Baptist Church to assemble and distribute Thanksgiving meals and oral hygiene supplies to citizens of Watts, California and unhoused members of the community.
First, volunteers will be helping church members put together meal packages and afterwards will help distribute them.
Time of event: 10 AM for meal packaging and 12 PM for food delivery.

Join us to teach families home care at Back 2 School Night! We will be giving away free oral hygiene supplies and reviewing oral hygiene techniques with families!
We All Care: Back to School Fair!
Scrub Hub, We All Care, and Hogar Forjadores de Esperanza Inc. are partnering for the Back to School Fair in the Manuel A. Pérez Community. Scrub Hub will be providing oral hygiene instructions for families, conducting oral screenings, referring patients to local community clinics, and distributing free oral hygiene supplies.
The event will be held on August 12, 2023 from 1-5 pm.
Volunteers Should arrive at 12 pm for set up and stay until 6 pm for break down.

Service event at Skid Row: MLK Behavioral Health Center

Join us this Black History Month to give back to those in need!
We will be partnering with T’ena Health here in Los Angeles to provide healthcare services to the residents of Skid Row. We will be distributing oral hygiene supplies, educating the community on oral health, assembling care kits, and providing oral hygiene instructions.

We will be at the NHS Compton Farmer’s Market giving oral hygiene presentations, distributing free oral hygiene supplies, answering oral health questions, and making referrals.

Scrub Hub Serves Hawaii
Scrub Hub volunteers will be heading to Hawaii to provide oral health services and increase access to oral health care for native communities. we will be distributing free oral hygiene supplies and teaching families how to care for their teeth.
Leimert Park
On Saturday, October 8th, we served the community members of Leimert park here in Los Angeles!
We donated supplies (300 toothbrushes, 100 toothpastes, and 150 floss containers), taught oral hygiene and answered dental related questions for our community. Check out our photo album by clicking the button below!
